Originally, as our name implies was just one, the Garden Girl, Natasha Clark.
Always creative and dabbling in artistic industries Natasha gained a First Class Honours Degree in Art & Design History in 1995 and began a successful career as an interior designer. However, whilst working for a large home furnishings house in Knightsbridge, Natasha gradually found herself drawn to the nearby Chelsea Physick Garden more than the trendy Kings Road boutiques. A seed had begun to germinate and Natasha relocated to leafy Highgate to uncover her true vocation. Gardening.
After being graciously taken on by a prestigious private garden company, Natasha's enthusiasm for horticulture enabled her to sprout new limbs and she rose quickly from a trainee gardener to team leader and finally garden manager. But it was not until she returned to her native Sussex that her dream began to flourish. A dream to return gardening to its artisan roots. Additionally by forming GGG, Natasha was at last able to marry her creative background with her horticulturalists heart. She was able to combine her flair for design, her understanding of colour and texture with an innate understanding of plants to become a dedicated and talented gardener. With time and dedication the seedling grew and like minded gardeners were sought to cope with the ever increasing demand for reliable, knowledgable gardeners. The company has grown a strong, valued client base and now supports a small team diverse enough to cater for a variety of clients and offers a comprehensive range of services.
Meet the Team
Natasha has been gardening for many years and founded the company in 2005 of which she is the owner and designer. Previously she has also worked as a consultant to the National Trust, advising on historical planting at Carlisle House in Chelsea and was offered a full time post as Head Gardener at Compton Castle in Devon. Her achievements to date include a collective Silver Gilt at 2003 RHS Chelsea Flower Show for her collaboration with the Jamaican Garden Society and one of her more recent designs featured in a client profile in Country Living Magazine.
Throughout her career she has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of garden history, wildlife and horticulture.
Paul joined the company in 2006 as assistant gardener and is now not only a team leader but also our in-house specialist in trees and bees!
His horticultural experience has been diverse and in addition to building excellent plant knowledge, his career has also given him a great understanding of working within the amenity and commercial sectors.
Paul is also our hedges, tree pruning and shrub expert and a budding topiarist.
